Andrea Palomo-Robles
Executive Director
Andrea is a specialist in Positive Peace and has more than 10 years of experience in the social sector. She has collaborated nationally and internationally with various peace, leadership and human rights organisations.

She’s been part of the Satyagraha Institute since 2016, participating in several of our programmes and engaging in our Coordinating Committee.

Andrea is a political scientist and studied Nonviolence at the Gujarat Vidyapith University -founded by Gandhi-. She has consolidated her leadership with her work as a speaker and workshop facilitator on issues of conflict, Nonviolence, disruption and Peace in the Americas and in Europe.

Andrea is a member of organisations that support youth development worldwide. Part of her work has been dedicated to support organisational development and public relations in the social and private sectors.

Abhay Mistry
Director of Operations and Technology
Abhay has been affiliated with the Satyagraha Institute since 2015 and has a background in business and user experience design. He is particularly interested in how design can serve as a conduit for social change and ethical business practices. He is currently a UX designer at the American Chemical Society Publications.

Ximena Alamilla
Program Coordinator, Mexico
Ximena has studies in international relations. She is interested in diplomacy and international organizations. She has been part of different non profit organizations, collaborating within protocol and public relations areas. Her youth leadership was consolidated when she participated as a speaker in an international youth activists conference that took place in Massachusetts, in 2020.She is currently working for a Portuguese data science company as Product Specialist, part of the World Wide team.

 

Mbaye Mballow
Program Coordinator, The Gambia
President and Co-founder of Nonviolence Advocates Association in The Gambia. Mbaye is a trained Peace Ambassador, Administrator and Educationist who worked in these respective fields over the past years. He has vast experience in Conflict Resolution, Peace Building, networking and communication.He's currently pursuing a Diploma in Gandhian Nonviolence: Theory and Application  at Gujarat Vidyapith University, Ahmedabad, India. Mbaye has participated in series of International events related to Peace Building and Nonviolence in Ghana and Senegal.Mbaye has worked and still continues to work as a Lead trainer in series of Peace and Conflicts Resolution trainings, workshops, camps and seminars. He is a passionate leader, social change agent and Nonviolence advocate as characterized by his engagements with intergenerations.

 

Karen Flores
Facilitator, Cooperation for Peace
Karen is a psychologist and works delivering workshops focused on Human Rights and Peace Culture through cooperative games for the social, public and private sectors.She has worked developing and coordinating programmes on women, youth empowerment and people with disabilities, with an emphasis on the strengthening of the social fabric and self sufficiency for a better quality of life.For Karen, playing is a serious matter. Her approach to social change is based on games and activities that inspire people to reflect and be more mindful of their potential to transform the world they live in.
